My bAby Is TuRnINg 5

I can't believe how time flies. My little boy has been waiting very impatiently to turn 5 since his twin cousins birthday in September. I really feel bad that I didn't keep a better baby book and have slacked off on the family scrapbooking since he was born, good thing he is a boy and might not care as much. He does ask where his picture book is when his sisters pull out their books. I am glad I at least slapped his first year before I stopped scrapping, but my goal this year is to get back into it.
This year 5 still loves Spiderman, but he has become insanely obsessed to Mario games, so his birthday cake this year will have Mario characters. I can't wait to put it together in the morning and see how it all comes together. (I am not big on decorating cakes, this is a new adventure for me) please pray it looks good, if it does I will post pictures. He still watches Spongebob, Max & Ruby, Dinosaur Train, and many more I can't think of the names of.

We signed 5 up to take part in a learning program where he works on his own computer 5 days a week with a program called Rusty and Rosy. He will work on it until he starts kindergarten, but the group is studying whether pre-school kids do better in school having used this program that teaches reading and writing. He loves it most days, he is turning into a real computer wiz, since he thinks he is old enough to play all sorts of other games on the computer and internet. I will be keeping my eyes on him.
He loves saying the prayer and will cry if he doesn't get to say it, but it makes for short and sweet prayers. He even gets everything in in one line by saying, Thank you we eat or thank you sisters can go to school and dad go to work. Don't even think about talking during his prayer to add anything...
He is a big helper around the house. He feeds the fishes, takes care of our 3 frogs, and is now taking on refilling the toilet paper rolls in the upstairs bathroom and taking out the garbage. What a big helper he is.
He has been attending a neighborhood pre-school which he seems to enjoy. He loves all his little friends at school and can usually tell me things he has learned. He came home two weeks ago talking about how he would be going to the big elementary school that sisters used to go to, we just nodded and said, yes, you will get to go soon. Well, the following week, he was determined he wasn't going back to pre-school, he was suppose to go to his NEW school now. I don't know what was talked about at school that week, but I had to break my little boys heart by telling him he couldn't quite go yet--this took about two days to get him to understand. Soon son, soon!
Well, I know there is much more to say, but I better get some sleep so I can enjoy the big birthday tomorrow (oh, and he is so happy he gets to celebrate at school). For his birthday, I am planning to make lasagna for his birthday dinner..I think we are all excited for that.
